AFM involved in rescue of offshore worker

Earlier this afternoon, the AFM was involved in the rescue of a man who was working on a fish farm in the south of the island.

The accident was reported to the Armed Forces of Malta Rescue Coordination Centre and the Melita class Search and Rescue Launch was deployed to assist in the rescue. The injured man was brought to shore and taken to Mater Dei hospital by ambulance.
