Customs seize 25,000 cigarettes from Fgura garage

A joint operation between the Police and Customs departments has led authorities to a find of 125 packets of contraband cigarette, amounting to a total of 25,000 cigarettes, the customs department has said.
The department said that the discovery was made during a joint operation this afternoon that led authorities to a garage in Fgura.
“This is one of the many joint efforts by both departments aiming at hampering excise fraud,” read a statement by the customs department.
