AFM rescues man in distress off Żurrieq

The Armed Forces of Malta yesterday evening rescued a man who was reported to have been in difficulty at sea off Żurrieq.

The AFM dispatched an Alouette III helicopter following a distress call from a person who saw the man at sea.

According to a government statement, the man was found at sea holding on to a buoy.

The man was hoisted by the helicopter and landed safely in the car park.
