Man charged with attacking estranged wife

Marco Micallef was charged with trying to run over his wife with his car in Birkirkara on Sunday, January 9. The couple are currently undergoing separation proceedings.

Micallef was found guilty of causing light injuries to the woman without the intent to kill and for disrupting public order. He was also found guilty of damaging his wife’s reputation through shouting and fighting.

In addition, Micallef was accused of driving his car in a dangerous manner.

Micallef was granted bail with a €100 deposit and a personal guarantee of €5,000.
