Annabelle Vassallo succumbs to cancer
Pro-life award winner Annabelle Vassallo passed away last night after four years of battling cancer.

Vassallo, from Siggiewi, was admired for her constant positivity and for her impressive will to combat her illness.
Vassallo was diagnosed with cancer on Boxing Day in 2006. In June last year she received the Pro-Life award while her autobiography Irrid Ngħix was immediately sold out.

I just want to thank Annabelle for her spiritual strength. She was a very courageous lady and a great example for us all. I will never forget her and I would like to express my deepest sympathy to her dear family. Be sure she is in heaven praying for us all. To me she is saint. Thank you Annabelle, rest in peace.
