Driver awarded €73,000 in damages

A driver who suffered injuries in a car crash has been awarded €73,000 in damages by a court.

The court ruled that James Spiteri was to be awarded €73,000 in damages, after the insurance company which covered the driver of another vehicle that had smashed into him, had accepted responsibility for the accident, however it failed to quantify the damages.

Spiteri had suffered 44 per cent disability as a consequence of the injuries sustained.

That is so typical of local insurance complanies, forever trying to find ways to wriggle out of paying what is due to claimants.
