Rings of St Joseph statue stolen in Kalkara Church robbery

St Joseph Parish Church in Kalkara was robbed this morning, when thieves appear to have broken-in and stolen gold rings found on the statue of St Joseph.

The police were informed of the incident at around 7:15am, and went on the scene.

Initial indications are that the thieves broke a window in the side of the church to gain entry.

The thieves appear to have also stolen some money from the donations box.

Police investigations are ongoing.
