Police arrests two following drug trafficking tip-off

Police officers arrested two on Tuesday morning in connection with a drug find in Hamrun, following a tip-off that alerted them to heroin trafficking underway from a particular residence.

In a statement, Police said that responding to a tip-off, officers arrested a 25-year-old man.  The man attempted to flee upon being approached by officers, but was apprehended immediately, Police said.

Police also said that heroin was found in the man’s possession, ready to be sold. Two scales were also found, along with other objects related to the abuse and trafficking of drugs.

Police said that officers also apprehended a 17-year-old girl, who is being kept in custody in connection with the find.

Anothert two bits of scum cleaned off the streets. But my total lack of confidence in the law courts lends me to believe that suspended sentences will be the order of the day.
