Australian cyclist in hospital after crashing into car

A 45-year-old Australian cyclist was grievously hurt today after he was involved in a collision with a car which had come out of a side road in Siggiewi.

The police said the accident, which happened in Triq Lapsi at around 11am, happened when the cyclist hit a stationery car.

The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where his injuries were later found to be serious in nature. 

Police investigations are ongoing.
