Bus passengers dumped at Blata l-Bajda 'without warning'

The Labour Party claims it was irresponsible of Transport Malta not to inform regular users of the public transport on the changes on the buses' final stop.

In its statement on Monday, the Labour Party said “hundreds of persons who made use of the public transport were left at the Park and Ride in Blata l-Bajda, instead of City Gate.”

Opposition spokesperson for Transport Joseph Sammut claimed the decision was taken by Transport Malta without any consultation or prior notice.

“By not informing the public on such an important change, even though it is temporary, the authorities showed arrogance and a sense of disrespect towards the consumers,” Sammut said.

“The PL insists that this kind of inefficiency, lack of coordination and planning does not augur well to the future, especially when it’s coming from Transport Malta’s management which is paid large sums,” he stressed.
