Woman arrested in Mosta over weapons stash and illegal drugs

Police have said that a 24-year old woman, Naomi Tanti, was eventually arrested in Mosta after attempting a car getaway.

The woman resisted arrest, and after she was taken away, a quick search in her vehicle revealed that she was in possession of a small amount of cannabis, unlicensed weapons and sharp instruments.

This happened after the Police Drug Squad, together with members of the Rapid Intervention Unit, was following possible leads in Naxxar that led them to the 24-year old in question.

The police did not exclude that the woman be charged in court over their earlier findings this morning.
