Bishops call for prayer and solidarity over Arab unrest
Malta’s bishops have called for prayer for the termination of violence in the Arab states.
Archbishop Paul Cremona said Maltese christians must pray for inspired and responsible leadership, and for an end to violence and injustices in Libya and the other Arab countries in turmoil.
“We are preoccupied with the unfolding events in the Arab world,” bishops Paul Cremona, Mario Grech and Annetto Depasuale said. “There is no peace without justice, Catholic social teaching tells us.”
The bishops have called for an invocation callng for peace in Catholic mass, that eucharistic adoration takes place with this intention in mind, and called on people to offer their solidarity as and when the situation arises.

Prayers?. How naϊve. If prayers had any influence at all, there would be no conflicts in the first place. If prayers really worked, doctors would be out of a job. If prayers really worked there would be no poverty in the world. etc etc etc.
Get real folks.
