Industrial dispute with Transport Malta

According the statement issued by GWU, TM has not yet clarified the union’s role in representing such professional categories and “has so far avoided a conciliation meeting requested by the union aimed at reaching a settlement and a common understanding. The Union believes this is not a positive approach to be taken in industrial relations”.

GWU expressed its disappointment about TM’s behaviour and “hopes this is not the same approach adopted with employees in relation to their issues and concerns”.

The union reserves its rights to take any further industrial or legal action to safeguard its position.
