On Monday, Reporter discussed the health sector together with health minister Godfrey Farrugia and Nationalist MP and spokesperson for health Claudio Grech.
Participants included Martin Balzan, president of the Medical Association of Malta (MAM) and Paul Pace, the president of the Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses (MUMN).

I don't think that free health care for all will be sustainable in the near future. A detailed plan has to be carried out by the government and all the stakeholders.

If the present rate of illegal immigrants continues- our free health will not be sustainable. We contribute-have contributed through our parents-whilst these people did not contribute one dime for our health system. Moreover, it seems that other 'legal' tourists' are coming here too, using our hospital for free without paying their bill! Of course our free health system is doomed!
