Marie Louise Coleiro Preca on tomorrow’s Reporter
Reporter on TVM will discuss the president’s new role and responsibilities and will delve into the opposition’s criticism over the government’s lack of consultation
Reporter on TVM will tomorrow host nominated-president Marie Louise Coleiro Preca and delve into the social solidarity's proposed role as president of the Republic.
Presenter Saviour Balzan will also analyse the criticism levelled by the opposition into the nomination of Coleiro Preca as president. Reporter on TVM will discuss the Nationalist Party's criticism that it was not consulted but merely presented with a fait accompli.
Moreover, after Prime Minsiter Joseph Muscat said Coleiro Preca would be given new social responsibilities and give the president a "new purpose", Reporter on TVM will delve into the 'new' role of Malta's president.
Will the president have an active role in Malta? Will the new president have new executive roles?
After the prime minister underlined that the next president needs to have a lot of "energy", Reporter on TVM will analyse what it means that Coleiro Preca will be the youngest president of Malta.
Reporter on TVM will also see an interview with PN Secretary General Chris Said, compiled beforehand by journalist Jerome Caruana Cilia.
The programme is produced and presented by Saviour Balzan, assisted by Jerome Caruana Cilia and the MediaToday newsroom.
Reporter is aired live every Monday at 6:55pm on TVM. The programme is repeated on TVM2 on Monday at 10:15pm.
