Jalloud flees Djerba on Maltese plane
Libya's former number two, Abdessalem Jalloud, left for Italy via Tunisia early this morning, a senior Tunisian government official confirmed.
Jalloud, a former prime minister ostracised from Muammar Gaddafi's regime, had earlier been reported to have fled to rebel-held territory.
He took "a plane for Italy from Djerba airport at 3:40 am", an airport official on the resort island said.
The government official said "Jalloud left Djerba airport for Italy at dawn on a Maltese plane with his family". He could not say how many people boarded the flight.
Jalloud is said to be heading for Doha, Qatar.

As usual this man has been sitting on the fence till the last minuet, great way to run away from something that one has supported for a considerable amount of time, now its defection time, brilliant and such person is welcomed and given the opportunity to seek refuge in an other Arab country. What is going to happen when the true atrocities of this war are uncovered?
