Gold necklace found on Titanic stolen from Denmark exhibition
A gold-plated necklace recovered from the Titanic was stolen from an exhibition at an amusement park in Copenhagen.
The Telegraph reports that the alarm did not go off when the gold artefact was stolen from Copenhagen’s Tivoli amusement park.
“The showcase has not been broken into and the alarm didn’t go off,” a spokesman for the park told The Telegraph. “It is pretty embarrassing.”
Police investigation is ongoing to try and find the necklace, as an £870 reward is being offered to anyone who finds the necklace. Reportedly, the necklace has an insurance value of £12,000.
Eleanor Wildener, a first class passenger who survived the Titanic, owned the necklace.
