Knox’s possible donation to Meredith Kercher’s family

Grandmother of recently acquitted Amanda Knox, considers donating some of the proceeds received from expected book and television deal to Meredith Kercher’s family once own expenses covered.

According to Knox’s grandmother Elisabeth Huff, 74, some earnings made from deals are being considered for donations to Kercher’s grieving family whilst also revealing proposed books deals offered to the family by publishers.

"It's a good idea. First of all we need to pay our bills and look after that. I had no idea yet what plans are in and we have people helping us with finances. We have got donations from people all over the world,” said Huff.

Selling her story could earn Knox more than £1 million as television companies race to get the first interview with her and publishers try to secure rights to her story.

Once the Knox family’s expenses of more than $1 million have been covered by proceeds received, Huff suggested the possibility of helping the Kercher family by donation to cover expenses incurred during trial hearings and appeals.

"We haven't discussed money any farther than seeing what we can pay the lawyers and the experts that helped? I don't want to talk for the others, I have just given you my opinion. That is something that can be looked at,” Huff said.
