[VIDEO] Woman brutally beaten by Egyptian security forces
A video showing the brutal beating of a young woman in Egypt goes viral and fuels further protests.
As clashes between Egyptian protesters and security forces entered their fourth day in Tahrir Square, Egypt's military leaders said they were investigating a video showing four soldiers beating and dragging a young woman exposing her underwear.
Egyptians would rather focus on building a liberal democracy, however Egypt and the rest of the world have been shocked by the tactics used by security forces against activists.
A spokesperson for Egypt's ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, described the incident as "isolated" and confirmed that investigations are underway.
The death toll from the latest clashes between security forces and pro-democracy activists, stands at 13, with many others injured and about 125 detained.
The video shows soldiers beating a young woman with truncheons and pulling at her clothes exposing her blue bra and stomach, normally taboo in Arab culture. Despite the evident brutality, the woman survived the beating.
The video has gone viral instantly drawing comparison with the Iranian woman killed during the 2009 uprising in Tehran.
