The victim, thought to be in his late teens or early 20s, was stabbed to death with a knife on one of London's busiest streets, opposite Bond Street underground station.

Police arrested a number of persons in connection with the case, as the area was cordoned. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

As shops were looking forward to the day to make up for what they described a disastrous year in profits, a number of shops in the area were closed due to police investigation.
