Four killed by mudflow in Indonesia
Villagers flee from homes in Indonesia as mudflows carrying debris from a volcano slams into villages near its base.
Four villagers died while thousands flee from their homes as seasonal downpours caused mudflows to stream from a volcano in eastern Indonesia.
Officials said that due to heavy rains, flows of cold lava, rocks and other debris have rammed into villages close to the volcano’s base on Tuesday night following Mount Gamalama’s powerful eruption earlier this month.
A dozen people suffered various injuries ranging from broken bones to head wounds as a result.
