The confirmed death toll was brought to 15 as the bodies of two women are found as search continues on Costa Concordia.

The bodies were found on the fourth deck near the internet café and divers continue to blast through submerged areas of the ship in an attempt to find those still missing.

The search will continue until the cruise ship has been completely examined according to emergency officials.

The pumping of fuel from the cruise ship will begin as the search for 18 people still unaccounted for continues according to Italian authorities.

To counter the risk of oil leaks, an Italian naval vessel is on standby close to the ship which is carrying around 1.9 million litres of fuel in 13 separate tanks.

The fuel-pumping process is expected to begin tomorrow as steel moorings still need to be attached to the front of the ship.

A double containment boom around the ship also needs to be installed to limit any spills and pollution during the removal of the fuel.
