Mandela recovering well after night in hospital

The South African government as reassured its people that former President Nelson Mandela was doing well after the 93-year-old spent Saturday night in hospital for tests.

The tests conducted were for an undisclosed stomach complaint but doctors said they found Mandela’s health to be satisfactory considering his age.

South African President Jacob Zuma said Mandela was not in danger and is expected to go home today or Monday.
