Eight killed and 10 injured by bomb in Pakistan market

More than 10 people were injured and eight killed by a bomb in Pakistan and Taliban are thought to be the perpetrators.

At least eight people were killed by a bomb in the tribal region of Bajaur in northwest Pakistan which blasted through a busy market leaving more than 10 injured.

Reports on who carried out the attack remain unclear but suspicions have been directed to the Afghan province of Kunar which is where the Taliban have several strongholds.

Anti-Taliban tribal militias are known to have been attacked by the militants in the Salarzai area and some of the worst fighting between Pakistani and government forces and Taliban militants have been witnessed in Bajaur over the last few years.

The militants constantly disprove army declarations of security in the area as the Taliban launch their attacks against Pakistani tribal regions on the Afghan side of the border.
