Deadly bombings strike Libya capital
At least two people killed in a twin bomb attack in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
Two people were killed near security buildings in Tripoli, the first deadly bombings since fall of Muammar Gaddafi.
Twin blasts near security buildings in the Libyan capital have killed two people and wounded several more, a security official said.
Libyan officials said these would be the first deadly bombings in the country since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi last year.
One blast took place near the women's military academy. The other was located close to the interior ministry, unnamed security officials said. Armed police have surrounded both areas.
Several others were wounded in the blasts, which took place at dawn.
Violence has been an ongoing problem despite a peaceful handover of power after last month's elections, the first in decades after 42 years of one-man rule under Gaddafi.
