Two killed in air strike on Gaza strip

Two border guards are killed and another injured during routine night patrol in an Israeli air strike.

Two Hamas border guards were killed and another injured in an Israeli strike on a car in Rafah City in Gaza during the night according to Palestinian medics.

However, Israel said the two guards were terrorists and one was preparing to attack civilians.

Officials in Gaza’s Hamas-run interior ministry said the three officers were patrolling as part of routine daily business to inspect and secure the southern border of the Gaza strip and Egypt.

The Israeli military said two members of ‘Defenders of Al-Aqsa’, described as a terrorist group sponsored by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, had been targeted.
