Body of Mexican drug lord stolen from funeral home
The body of one of Mexico’s most wanted deadliest cartel leaders is stolen from a funeral home after being positively matched.
After marines said they had possible shot and killed one of Mexico’s most wanted men, the body was stolen from a funeral home.
Leader of the Zetas drugs gang in Mexico, Heriberto Lazcano, was allegedly shot and killed by marines after being suspected of murdering hundreds of persons.
He was shot dead in the northern state of Coahuila on Sunday and was positively identified by forensic experts according to the state’s attorney general Homero Ramos.
However, an armed gang later stole the body of ‘The Executioner’, as he was dubbed, from a funeral home.
Alfonso Martinez Escobedo, another Zetas gang leader, known as ‘The Squirrel’ was detained on Saturday with a huge supply of weapons and ammunition in the city of Nuevo Laredo.
With 10,000 gunmen as members, the Zetas is one of the most deadly Mexican drug-cartels with operations stretch from the Texas border deep into Central America.
