US and Korea end three day summit
Obama and Xi agree to co-operate to denuclearise North Korea.
A two-day seminar between US President Barack Obama and Chinese leader Xi Jinping was described by state official as being unique, positive and constructive. The seminar held at the Sunnylands retreat in California, included talks about the denuclearisation of North Korea and other economic and environmental issues.
The American President reiterated with Mr Xi that any sort of cyber crime and attacks would interfere with US-China relations. President Obama outlined the problems America has faced from cyber-intrusion and theft of intellectual property.
Mr Xi's senior foreign policy adviser Yang Jiechi held that China wanted co-operation not hostility over cyber-security. The aim of the summit was to make sure discuss disagreements before these degenerate into a worse scenario.
A White House statement issued moments after the summit ended, stated that both nations for the first time agreed to work together to reduce potent greenhouse gases known as hydrofluorocarbons.
The summit was the first meeting between the two men since Mr Xi became president in March.
