Mexico hosts World Naked Bike Ride

Aimed at raising awareness of the importance of cycling as a way to exercise and help reduce fossil fuels, the World Naked Bike Ride took place today in Mexico City.

Over 300 naked cyclists cycled through the streets highlighting the need for drivers to drive more careful on city streets.

Onlookers snapped photos of the naked and semi-naked cyclists as they pedalled past famous monuments. The rally ended in Zocalo Square after bringing the city streets to a standstill with traffic.

Although Mexico City has introduced bike-friendly measures, vehicles still choke the streets making cycling a dangerous alternative.
