Two injured in temple explosion

Eight explosions in and around Indian holy site injure two.

Two people were injured after eight bombs exploded in the Mahabodhi Buddhist temple in eastern India.

Four explosions went off inside the world famous temple in Biha. The UNESCO World Heritage complex houses a tree where believers hold Buddha received enlightenment. The temple was not damaged in the explosions.

The two injured are a 50-year-old Tibetan and a 30-year-old Myanmar national.

No one has yet claimed responsibility of the attack. However authorities suspect the Islamist group Indian Mujahideen are behind the explosions. Since 2005, the group has been responsible for deadly bombings across India.
