Union for the Mediterranean to meet in Barcelona

The Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean, mandated by heads of State and Government of the 5+5 dialogue, will organise a Business Forum in the framework of the 5+5 dialogue on 23 October at the UfM Secretariat headquarters in Barcelona.

The 5+5 group includes Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia in the Southern Mediterranean and European partners Spain, France, Italy, Malta and Portugal.

The UfM Secretariat, together with the European Institute of the Mediterranean, organised a preparatory committee, consisting of representatives of the 10 governments and major Business Associations of the Western Mediterranean.

This committee will be in charge of defining the priorities and the programme of the Forum, and will hold a meeting in September.
