A migrant attempts to sneak into the US inside a shipment of red chili peppers

A Mexican national was apprehended on a shipment of chilli peppers at a New Mexico border checkpoint.
Border Protection officers and US Customs found a highly intoxicated 35-year-old migrant lying face down in a commercial truckload full of red chilli peppers. A tequila bottle was found next to the man.
When questioned by authorities, the man admitted to climbing into the hopper in Mexico in an attempt to ride to Chicago. The hopper had travelled less than 100 yards before the man was found.
Authorities say the man was processed for removal from the U.S. and will be deported to Mexico in the coming days as the shipment of chillies continued towards its destination.
