Minibus bomb attack kills four in Nairobi
Suspected terrorist bombing first attack since deadly Nairobi mall terrorist attack
At least four people have been killed in a suspected bomb attack in a crowded minibus in Nairobi, Kenya.
Emergency officials that more people were likely to be injured in what appears to be the first attack in the capital since the deadly terrorist assault on a Nairobi mall in September.
Police said that the device exploded while on its way towards the city centre.
Benson Kibue, chief of police in Nairobi, said Saturday that the minibus was travelling from the Eastleigh suburb of Nairobi to the city centre when explosion happened.
Investigators believe that an improvised explosive device was used in the attack but another officer said a grenade was used.
Kenya has been the scene of multiple attacks since the country sent its military to Somalia to fight al-Shabaab rebels. As a sign of retribution, the Islamist rebels killed 72 people during last September's siege in the Westgate shopping mall attack in Kenya.
