Slovak charged with heroin importation

A 19 year-old Slovak national was remanded in custody after he pleaded guilty to importing almost a kilogramme of heroin.

Vladimir Repan from Bratislava, was charged with importing 800 grams of heroin which were hidden in capsules inside his stomach.

Repan was arrested at the airport after a search revealed the hidden drug.

The Slovak was also charged with conspiracy to import drugs, and faces life imprisonment.
