US joins search for abducted Nigerian school girls
A team of high-level experts has been sent by the US to help in the search of the girls and women abducted from a Nigerian school last month. The US team includes officials from military, law enforcement and other agencies.
Boko Haram, the terrorist group responsible, had captured eight more girls, aged between 12 and 15, from the northeast of the country. Amid growing concerns for the girls' welfare, leader of the group Abubakar Shekau issued a video in which he threatened to sell the girls as slaves.
