Humpback dinosaur discovered in Spain

The fossilised remains of a yet unknown dinosaur have been unveiled by paleontologists in Spain.

The 20-foot-long, two-footed dinosaur dates from around 125 million years ago. It forms part of the recent discovered branch of the largest predatory dinosaur known to scientists, known as ‘Carcharodontosauria’.

The scientists have said that the fossil is the “most complete skeleton of a meat-eater yet” and was discovered in the Las Hoyas formation in Cuenca province in central Spain.

The dinosaur is characterised by a hump on its back, at least 16 inches tall, and it is believed that it was used to help it communicate among its own species or to store food like a camel does.
