Lebanese army captures wife of ISIS leader Baghdadi

Lebanese Army Intelligence reportedly detained the wife of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the enigmatic self-proclaimed "caliph" of a state straddling Iraq and Syria

The wife of the elusive Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdad, has been reportedly detained at the Lebanese-Syrian border, Lebanese security officials said on Tuesday.

She was reportedly using fake identification papers and accompanied by one of her sons.

The security agencies transported her to the defense ministry's headquarters in Yarze for further investigations.

Lebanese newspaper As-Safir reported the army had detained her in coordination with "foreign intelligence apparatus".

The officials declined to give the name or nationality of the woman whom they described as one of his wives.
