Air France flight makes emergency landing due to 'bomb scare'

Bomb scare which caused the emergency landing for Paris bound flight turned out to be a false alert

An Air France flight from Mauritius to Paris made an emergency landing in Kenya due to a false bomb alert, according to international media.

Air France chief Frederic Gagey, told a news conference that the suspected package turned out to have been made of paper and a timer, the BBC reports.

According to reports, the pilots of the Boeing 777 requested to land at Moi International Airport in Mombasa, where both the aircraft and airport were safely evacuated, after the item was found in a toilet.
