Sydney police said an operation is under way in western Sydney after a reported attack on Merrylands police station.
According to reports, a car laden with gas cylinders, was driven into the underground carpark of the police station.
One person was reported to have been taken into custody.
Other reports said a man had suffered burns in the incident.
