One dead, 20 injured as train derails in Belgium
The accident happened as the train was departing Leuven for Brussels
One person was killed and at least 20 were injured when a train travelling from Leuven to Brussels was derailed on Saturday, rescue workers said.
Rail operator SNCB said the passenger train bound for Brussels jumped the tracks shortly after leaving the city of Leuven, 25 km (16 miles) east of the capital at about 1.20 p.m. (1220 GMT).
Services between Leuven and Brussels have been suspended.
Last June at least three people were killed and nine injured in a train crash in the town of Hermalle-sous-Huy, near Liege.
