The freelance journalist had been researching a feature about Madsen and his submarine, the Nautilus.
The Nautilus, a homemade submarine, sank hours after the search for Wall commenced.
Madsen had initially said that he had dropped Ms Wall safely near Copenhagen, but later changed his version of accounts by saying she had died in an accident and that he had “buried” her at sea.
Peter Madsen is being charged with negligent manslaughter.
