Army in show of strength in Cairo

Tension is high as Army flys jets over demonstrators

Tension is high in Cairo, as the Army is making a show of strength by flying military air jets over the demonstrators in Cairo.  The military which is traditionally respected in Egypt is being accused of intimidating the protestors.  But the Army is wary over anarchy setting in the capital.

With internet closed, the satellite links for Al-Jazeera in Cairo blocked and most businesses closed, tension today in Cairo is very high indeed.

The events in Egypt are being watched closely.  Hillary Clinton welcomed a peaceful transition to democracy.

But there is little the US can do to halt this unexpected 'people's revolution.'  Even Israel is unsure about the future in Egypt.
