German Nurse admits to killing 100 patients
The nurse administered fatal doses of medication which caused cardiac arrest to his patients
An ex-nurse in Germany has admitted to killing 100 patients under his care at two hospitals in Northern Germany.
Niels Högel, 41 used to administer fatal doses of medication which resulted in cardiac arrest.
Hogel is already serving a life term for six deaths under his care.
The ex-nurse is said to have killed 36 patients in Oldenburg and 64 in Delmenhorst between 1999 and 2005.
Asked in court if the charges against him were true, he admitted to “more or less” all of them.
The current trial, which follows years of toxicology tests on more than 130 sets of exhumed remains, is expected to last until May.
