Second earthquake hits New Zealand
A large earthquake has struck close to New Zealand’s capital Wellington, a week after another quake devastated Christchurch.
According to reports, the Wellington quake was felt at 10.07pm (local time). It was centered around 12 miles north-west of the city and happened about 25 miles underground. Police say there have been no reports so far of damage.
Residents report the tremor shook their homes, whilst others claimed the quake felt like the tremor following Christchurch’s earthquake.
