One of the world's most active volcanoes erupts
One of the world’s most active volcanoes, Kilauea, has erupted in Hawaii.
According to scientists, a new vent has opened at the Pu’u O’o crater in Hawaii. This caused lava to spray up to 65ft high into the air. The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said the eruption was spotted shortly after the floor at the Pu’u O’o collapsed yesterday afternoon.
The HVO is currently monitoring the eruption as “hazardous eruption is imminent, underway or suspected.”
The volcano has been in constant eruption since January of 1983.
