Malta Win T20 International Tournament
On Sunday the final two games of the Malta Cricket Association T20 Cricket Competition were played and both games involved the big run makers of the previous day , Hungary.
In the first game they played the Czech Republic who won the toss and elected to bowl first. Hungary's batting feast the day before not daunting them all. Surprising all who were watching the Czech Republic bowled extremely well and kept the Hungarian team to 135 runs. F.Mohammed Khan top scoring with thirty seven runs. M.Malik taking four wickets for the Czech Republic. The Hungarians were up for the challenge and bowled extremely well and bowled out the Czech republic for 91 runs , K.Deldar Taking four wickets. Hungary win two from two as have Malta who were the next challenge and playing as it worked out in a final, winner takes all.
Hungary won the toss and elected to bat. If the Czech Republic and Hungary bowled well in the previous game then the bowling from the Malta team was even more spectacular being able to keep and bowling out the Hungarian team for 110 runs. E.Allnut top scoring with thirty seven runs which included three fours. A.Kheterpal making twenty one runs which included two fours and ten runs coming from the blade of S.M.Khan. Justin Brooke was impressive taking four wickets. Ronnie Sacco reliable in this tournament took another two wickets while Derek Ali, Adam Krishna and Andrew Naudi taking a wicket each. The Malta team needing 111 runs to win the tournament, had a horrific start losing the wickets of Bikram Arora and Malcolm Crabbe for a combined total of five runs. Captain Nowell Khosla played an innings which put any doubters of a win to rest making forty five runs which include three fours and a six. Andrew Naudi chipped in with fourteen valuable runs and Haroon Majeed was at it again scoring thirty one runs from twenty five balls which include two fours and a six. Ronnie Sacco helped finish of the target with five runs and there were fifteen extras.
