England starts their Euro 2016 campaign with a draw
Russia left it to the additional time to collect a point against England after Eric Dier’s well taken goal was cancelled out by Berezutski in the additional time.
Despite being the better side, England came out of their first match in Euro 2016 with a point.
Roy Hodgon's side controlled possession very well through out the match and went ahead on the 73rd minute thanks to an excellent freekick by Eric Dier. However, Russia equalised in the stoppage time when Berezutski netted a header to give the Russians a point against the European giants.
England missed a number of occasions throughout the game after Igor Afinkeev made a number of saves to deny the three lions. Russia seemed unable to cope with the English players until Berezutski's fine header that punished the England supporters.
This means that England have to beat their neighbours Wales in the coming match to secure first place in group B.
