Leonardo tempted by PSG memories and millions

Inter coach Leonardo could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Inter coach seemed to be confirmed next season with Inter, but the millions of Euros at hand with the French team could temp the tactician to part ways with Inter.

The role that Leonardo is offered with PSG is not of a coach but as a technical director.

Even though Leonardo has emphasised that he does not want the role of a director but as a coach, the great memories he had as a player at the French club between 1996 and 1997 could easily tempt him.

The heavy investment that new shareholder Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani has put into the team could also be a factor for Leonardo to leave Inter.

According to reports from France, PSG are willing to splash out €5million for Leonardo’s services. This will also include millions to strengthen the team.

Inter president Massimo Moratti has denied these rumours and was quoted saying that Leonardo is in Brazil with his family. But the meeting between PSG and Leonardo took place days before he left for Brazil.

Adding to this, it has also been revealed that Inter have contacted Marcelo Bielsa to fill the vacant position if Leonardo does leave.

It has been reported that Marcelo Bielsa has already given Moratti confirmation that he will take the job if it is vacant.

If Bielsa is at the helm of the Italian club, negotiations with star player Alexis Sanchez could open up again as Marcelo Bielsa has great experience coaching him with the Chilean national team.

This will surely test the patience of the Inter president as he does not want his team to start of the new season on a bad note. His first priority is that his players get on well with whoever is leading them.
