FC Twente stadium roof collapses
The roof of FC Twente’s Grolsch Veste stadium collapsed taking the life of one person and leaving another 16 injured.
The incident happened during renovation work was taking place at the stadium.
At a press conference, the mayor of Enschede said one person lost their life, ten were taken to the hospital with two other in serious condition.
The stadium was extended to a capacity of 24,000 in 2004. It was being renovated again to increase the capacity to 32,000 before the new season.
