Wenger accepts Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri will be leaving
According to Goal.com Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has accepted the fact that his star duo will be leaving as early as next week.
Fabregas and Nasri will be sold for a combined amount of €68.5 million according to Goal.com.
Barcelona are close to finalising a deal to land Fabregas after offering €40 million including add-ons to Arseanl.
It was reported as well that Nasri has told his France team-mates that he is very close to signing for Manchester City.
According to Goal.com, Fabregas has agreed to forego €1 million for each of the five years of his contract that he previously agreed with Barcelona to accelerate the deal so he can move back to his boyhood club.
Arsenal are asking for €45.5 million for Fabregas, but it seems that they are willing to accept €40 million from Barcelona and the deal should be completed before the first leg of Arsenal’s Champions League Qualifier against Udinese next Tuesday.
Another player that Arsenal could be selling is Samir Nasri.
Nasri has decided not to renew his contract that ends next summer and Arsenal have decided that they cash in on the player.
Nasri is set to move to Manchester City for €25 million.
Reports in France on Thursday claim that Nasri has agreed terms on a three-year, £175,000-a-week (€200,000) deal and a move to Etihad Stadium could be completed by the weekend, with the Frenchman ready to make his debut against Swansea City on Monday night.
